Below are some important announcements for the start of the 2023-2024 scouting year.
- First Troop Meeting: Thursday, September 7th @ 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM – Mandatory break-out parent meeting to discuss and assign open leadership positions to new Scout Parents and improve communications with our Scout Families on our program.
- Annual Dues: $50 and are due by 9/21. The Troop will cover the membership fees for registered leaders. Registered leaders may wish to donate their membership fee on a voluntary basis. We do not want to deny anyone the Scouting experience due to financial reasons, so we will confidentially work with any families in need.
- Vernon / Ellington Area – Boy Scout Troop 20/20 Returnable Beverage Containers Monthly Collection: Saturday, September 9th @ 9:00 AM – Noon (flyer)
- We need two adults and four scouts to volunteer at each of our monthly cans and bottles collection events. Please click here for the online signup sheet. This will become an individual Scout fundraiser instead of a Troop fundraiser. We will keep track of the hours each Scout participates in the monthly redemption sorting drives and divide up the proceeds accordingly to their accounts.
- Martha’s Vineyard Bicycle Trip: Friday, September 22nd – Sunday, September 24th (permission slip)
- All adults attending campouts must be registered leaders and YPT trained.
- Court of Honor: Thursday, September 21st
- Committee Meeting: Tuesday, September 26th
- Save The Date For Summer Camp 2024: Sunday, July 28th – Saturday, August 3rd
