- The Westerberg family has graciously agreed to lead an essential community service initiative aimed at assisting the residents of Vernon. The HVCC relies heavily on this food collection to support the community during the holiday season. The Committee has approved funding for the hanger tags. The schedule is as follows: hanger tag drop-offs will occur from November 9 to 12, food collection pickups are set for November 16 from 9 a.m. to noon, and sorting will take place at the American Legion on November 16 as food arrives until the truck is fully loaded. Volunteers are needed for all three phases; please sign up with the Westerbergs for routes to drop off hangers and collect food. If you are unable to participate in both activities, please coordinate with another family for route sharing and inform the Westerbergs. Additional assistance is also required for the sorting event.
