Thank you!

I’d like to thank all those who joined us at Friendly’s Tuesday night.  There was a great turnout by the Troop!  The dining room seemed pretty busy all night long.  I should hear back soon regarding how much we earned and will let you know.  I’d like to give a special thanks to John for picking up the flags for me, and to Katrina and Susan for helping with flyers at RHS, and to everyone who came for food and hung out for a while.  It was great to see so many familiar faces!  I know it was a last minute idea, but anything we made will help, so thanks for helping out! 

Friendly’s Tuesday night

I will be at Friendly’s tomorrow from 5-9.  It would be great to have a nice showing of boys in their CLASS A uniforms to greet people and help promote the Troop.  I’m also looking for some help distributing flyers on cars at RHS during graduation.  I’m thinking around 6 to do RHS would be great since the parking lots should be full by then. 

PLEASE LET ME KNOW what time you can be at either location.  I’m happy to transport up to 3 people (first come first served 🙂 )  This is our first try at something like this and I know it was last minute to fit this in before school gets out, but I could use any help I can get.  Thank you!! 

Court of honor Sunday

There have been some question around timings for the Court of Honor.  To clarify.  The ‘official’ time that was communicated in the meeting announcements at Thursday’s meeting is arrive at 1:30 for the flag ceremony which begins at 2.  Food will be served after the ceremony, followed by our Court of Honor awards.   Please bring either a side dish/salad or dessert.

Adventure Park fun

We filled up the trees today with 27 Troop 2020 climbers and had a great day.  Thanks to Glenn, Jason and Steve for protecting our tables and helping with pizza 🙂  I wanted to share some fun.  There was a little misunderstanding by the park employee who booked our trip based on the fact that I (a female) was organizing it.  It gave us a great running joke all day.  Check out our tickets!

I’m sorry for the late notice but I just realized tonight’s meeting is not on our calendar on our website.  We do have a meeting tonight.  Usual time and place.  Thanks!

Troop Fundraising event June 16th

If you missed announcements at last week’s meeting, the cost to register each of our boys with Council Haas doubled for next year.  We are hoping to defray some to all of that increase with a Fundraising night at Friendly’s in Vernon on Tuesday June 16th 5-9. 

How can you help?
1) We have a week to spread the word!  Please see the attached flyers.  They must be distributed before the event.  (Not at Friendy’s that night)  Please forward them through print, email, social media, your neighborhood, your kids’ friends at school, anywhere you can think of!  The more we distribute, the more folks will show up, the less our dues will be next year! 

2) This is the same night as RHS Graduation.  We are looking for a few volunteers to meet at RHS and distribute on cars in the parking lot.  In case folks are heading over after the ceremony, let’s get them a flyer!  I’ll be asking for volunteers at this week’s meeting.

3) I’m looking for volunteers to join us at Friendly’s on June 16th.  It would be great to have boys in their class A uniforms to represent our Troop and thank folks for coming out.  We will also be setting up a display with some Troop information, pictures and a slideshow.  Please let me know if you can make it that night and what time.  Any amount of time would be great!

This is a great opportunity to not only earn some money for our Troop, but also raise awareness of what scouting is really about.

Adventure Park Waivers and Attendance List

I need to let the adventure park know if anyone is less than 70lbs (for a lighter harness).  If you (or your scout) is UNDER 70lbs, please reply to this message so I can note that.  If you are OVER 70lbs, I do not need a reply.  🙂

If you have not filled out the online waiver form, please do so ASAP.  Anyone who has not filled out the online waiver will need to do so upon arrival at the park and will delay our start time.  Here is the link to the waiver again.  Please let me know if you need any help.

Adventure Park Waivers

Thank you for being prepared with forms and payments last week, and to those who made other arrangements  with me.  Our reservation has been made and we have 27 people climbing!

All climbers must fill out the online waiver.  This must be done online.  I already submitted mine and it took about 2 minutes using my phone.

If you do not have access to a computer/smart phone, or otherwise need help with this step, please let me know and I can help at this week’s meeting.  If we can get everyone set by this Thursday that would be great!
