Adventure Park update

If any siblings or adults would like to come climbing with us you are welcome to for the same price per person!  Please include any additional family member info on the permission slip and payment so we can include you.  FINAL head count will be taken tonight.  We often have a few late ‘stragglers’ but  will not be able to accept late additions for this trip without charging you extra and possibly not have enough equipment reserved for you.  Please visit the Adventure Park’s website for rules and age requirement for additional climbers.

Adventure Park permission slip

I’m having internet issues tonight and haven’t been able to upload the form.  I will have copies at the Troop meeting.
Please come prepared to pay for the trip ($35, included pizza lunch) at this week’s Troop meeting as our final payment is due on Friday.  If you are unable to come Thursday but want to come on this trip, please contact me at Andreamaney@hotmail.com

There is no charge (by the Troop or park) to come and watch! 

Adventure Park permission slips

The permission slip for the June  Adventure Park trip will be posted tonight.   We need a FINAL headcount at this week’s (May 28th) meeting.  We are required to give an advance headcount with payment in full.  If you are not included in our headcount, and decide later you want to go, you will be charged full price and may not get to climb with our group due to equipment availability. 

If you won’t be at this week’s meeting, but want to go on this trip, please contact me (Andrea Maney) by email at Andreamaney@hotmail.com to let me know that you plan to attend.

I’ll send another notice once the permission slip has been posted.

Memorial Day Parade Reminder

Vernon’s Memorial Day parade is Monday.  Please be at Northeast School by 9am in Class A uniform.
Parents please pick up scouts at Rockville Center Green at parade’s conclusion.

Phone book committee reminder

Thank you to everyone that participated in the recent Phone Book
lessons learned conversation.  Please email Jason Lipman at

2016 Fall and Spring phone book committee.

We are beginning to plan for next year and would like to ensure
everyone is heard and the activity is a quick, painless and even
enjoyable for all.

Elks Spring Cleanup Sunday 5/17 11-2

Our annual Elks Spring cleanup day is this Sunday May 17th.  Please arrive at 11:00 prepared to work (bring work gloves, rakes or any other equipment you think would be helpful).  This is a required troop event to give back to the Elks for all they do for our Troop.  Everyone is asked to participate.

Tents Due Back Thursday 5/14 (and any other Troop equipment)

‘Aired out’ Tents from the Nickerson campout are due back to at this week’s Troop meeting.

If you’re holding onto any other Troop equipment from Nickerson or any other campout, please be sure to bring that back as well!

Reminder to bring bikes tonight

If you are going on the Nickerson campout, please be sure to bring your bike tonight for loading into the trailer.

Final Payments are due at the 5/7 Troop Meeting

For new & crossover scouts: Deposits due beginning at 5/7 Troop meeting with balance due by June Court of Honor.
