Drop Off: Sunday 11:30 AM at Gay City State Park (parking lot by pond)

Pick Up: Sunday 3:00 PM at Gay City State Park (parking lot by pond)

Permission Slips Due: Thursday 10/20/2022 Troop Meeting

5 mile hike with a day pack. Bring a bagged lunch. Scouts should have the Scout Basic Essentials from the Hiking section of the Scout Handbook.

After two years, we are back and celebrating our Harvest Festival with the community again!

Help us make it the most fun we have had yet and signup for one or both days!

Wreath Sales

Scouts are currently conducting a wreath sale to earn money for their individual accounts. The packets were handed out last month with instructions. All orders and payments (payable to Troop 2020) are due at the October 20 meeting. If you have potential customers who live out of the area, there are online options in the materials or reach out to Mrs. Westerberg with questions. We expect wreaths to be delivered to us the week of 11/14. 

Scouting For Food

Just a reminder that Scouting for Food is coming soon. We will be delivering information to homes the weekend of 11/5 (or by Monday) and we will be picking up the donations in the same neighborhoods on the morning of 11/12 and bringing them to the American Legion. Please plan to be available for both dates. Mr. Westerberg will have the route availability list at this week’s Troop meeting.

There are currently 3 Options to deposit your collection of Returnables:

• Option 1 (Preferred) – Drop-off; your returnables at the Rockville Elks Lodge 1359, Carriage House Basement Garage (all the way down around the back) Collection & Sorting Operations on Saturday between 9:00 AM and noon.
• Option 2 (by request) – Pick-up; Send an email to t2020ct@gmail.com with your local residential address; put your collection of returnables outside by 9:00 AM, and they will be picked up Saturday before Noon.
• Option 3 (scheduled) – Bulk, Towns other than Vernon / Ellington, other special circumstances; Send an email to t2020ct@gmail.com with your address & any other contact information in order to have a pick-up scheduled outside of our set day.

Court Of Honor – Thursday 9/29 @ 7:00 PM

Please join us for our Court of Honor on Thursday 9/29 @ 7:00 PM. Scout parents and families are welcome and encouraged to attend. There will be an ice cream social. Scouts must wear full Class A uniform.

Parents and families of our scouts…this is a time when we celebrate the accomplishments of our scouts. We encourage everyone to come enjoy some fellowship together as we recognize our scouts for a job well done. Thank you!

Volunteer Needed: Ice Cream Social For Court Of Honor
