Our Troop’s summer camp week is scheduled for 7/27 – 8/2.  Balance or New Scout Deposit of $50 is due by Thursday May 8th at the latest.

Equipment return reminder

Please remember to return all Troop equipment this week, that was brought home from the Salmon River camp out.  Equipment should be returned cleaned, dry, and ready for use on our next trip.  If there are any missing broken pieces, please notify a Troop leader.

Dave from Tolland Bicycle to visit our Troop this week

With our biking weekend right around the corner, Dave, from Tolland bicycle, has agreed to come talk to our Troop about bike safety.  If you would like to bring your bike to the meeting (not required) he can do a quick check for proper fit & safety.   Any bikes brought to the meeting could be stored in the garage at the Elks until the camp out.

Leaf Raking This Saturday 5/3 at the Elks

This is one of our opportunities to give back to the Elks for all they do for our Troop by keeping their grounds in good shape.  Work will begin at 9:00AM.  Please bring rakes, gloves, leaf blowers, etc.  Check with a Troop leader if you can bring any equipment that may be helpful in this cleanup.   This is also a great opportunity for any Scouts who need to log community service hours. 

Looking for Committee Members – Open positions

Are you looking for a way to get involved in our Troop?  Below is a brief description of some of our open positions. 
Please see one of the Troop leaders to find out more.

Quarter Master – The main job would be working with a Scout to track inventory and Troop gear. 
Phone Book Committee – This is always an important event to coordinate in both spring & fall
Transportation Organizer – Arrange for drivers for each camping trip. 

Calling all Troop Equipment!

Please come to tonight’s meeting with all borrowed Troop gear, including (but not limited to) sleeping bags, backpacks, etc.  With our large number of new Scouts, it’s important to take inventory and reassign items as needed to or new boys.  There will also be new camping equipment available for purchase tonight.

Phone book route lists

All route sheets should be returned to Bill Buller as soon as possible so he can finalize our delivery with the company.   You can either drop them off at his house at 7 Crown Street, in Vernon, or he will even come pick them up.  His number is 860-305-4790 if you need to reach him.  Thanks!
