I’ve just added an event to our calendar for an Eagle Project day on March 5th. Aaron Johnston’s Eagle Project includes some improvement work at Strong Family Farm in Vernon. Younger Scouts will be helping out around the farm and the older Scouts will be helping with the door project. All assistance may be counted as community service hours. More details & times will be added closer to the event.

If your son came to the Troop meeting last week, he should have brought home a paper letting you know what to bring for food. If your son was not at the meeting, please bring a main dish and either a side dish/salad or dessert to share. Thank you!!

High Adventure Trip – Summer 2016
To all scouts who are or will be either 14 or in high school this coming summer:
We are currently in the beginning stages of planning a high adventure trip for all nterested senior Scouts this coming summer. There are two options for this trip, either a week or more in up-state Maine or a week in the Mid-Atlantic. More information on these two different options can be found here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/11cSp8Wu0s2p0m2FAtBLUGG1X7zS926C-0sDWB3_cgwA/edit?usp=sharing.
If you are currently in high school or 8th grade,
PLEASE FILL OUT THIS FORM BY JANUARY 14TH: http://goo.gl/forms/04xO1UzQQk. This is a crucial first step in the planning process for this trip. Once all forms have all been submitted, dates for the trip will be determined based on program availability and Scout’s schedules.
For more information or with questions, please contact Dan Couture at daniel.s.couture@gmail.com or at any of the weekly meetings.

There were a number of boys unable to attend our Troop Christmas party due to other commitments. We will be holding a 2nd gift swap during our first Troop meeting of 2016 for those unable to participate in the initial gift swap.
If you brought a gift AND received a gift as part of our Christmas party you are not eligible to participate in the second gift swap.
Please reach out to our Troop leaders with any questions.
Thank you
Read moreTroop Dues
Troop dues are long overdue (since October) yet we still have a number of dues left unpaid. At this time we are taking the following steps:
1) For any boy who owes dues, their dues will be deducted from their scout account. This would include the fee for the Boy’s Life subscription if this was ordered upon registration.
2) Remaining boys without sufficient funds in their scout account to cover dues must pay in full by the January Court Of Honor on 1/28
3) If dues are still unpaid after 1/28, you will no longer be allowed to attend Troop activities until your balance is paid.
Note: Steve Michaud will be reaching out directly to parents of boys who still owe dues.
As always, please reach out to our troop leaders with any concerns.
