ANNOUNCEMENTS

Welcome to the 2021-2022 Scouting Year

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Below are some important announcements for the start of the 2021-2022 scouting year.

  • Please review the COVID-19 Council Update.
  • Mask use is still recommended outdoors and required at all indoor activities. While the state has lifted the mandate we need to set the example and keep in mind that many of our families still have unvaccinated children at home or family members that may be immunocompromised.
  • First Troop Meeting: Thursday, September 9th @ 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM – Permission slips & payment are due for the Martha’s Vineyard bicycle trip. For the people going on the bicycle trip, please bring bicycles for inspection. The Patrol Leaders’ Council will be meeting from 8:30 PM – 8:45 PM.
  • Annual Dues: $100 and are due in September. We are also asking registered adult leaders to consider donating $60 to cover their registration fee with Council, normally covered by the Troop. We do not want to deny anyone the Scouting experience due to financial reasons, so we will confidentially work with any families in need.
  • Vernon / Ellington Area – Boy Scout Troop 20/20 Returnable Beverage Containers Monthly Collection: Saturday, September 11th @ 9:00 AM – Noon
  • Martha’s Vineyard Bicycle Trip: Friday, September 17th – Sunday, September 19th (permission slip)
  • Committee Meeting: Tuesday, September 28th
  • Patrol Leaders’ Council Meeting: Tuesday, September 28th
  • Court of Honor: Thursday, September 30th
