Camp Workcoeman Staff/CIT/Volunteer Opportunities

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Troop 2020,

Hello. This is Brian Lindsay, a Scouter from Connecticut Rivers Council who worked at Camp Workcoeman in New Hartford for the last several summer seasons.

I want to inform you about staff, counselor-in-training, and volunteer opportunities for your unit members at Camp Workcoeman this summer. As someone who will not be returning full-time this season, it is my responsibility to help maintain our staff/CIT/volunteer corps and ensure the quality and continuing success of Scout programs at camp.

In recent years, Camp Workcoeman has seen much success from its new summer À La Carte program model starting in 2021. This season, on the advent of the camp’s centennial, I aspire to keep the momentum going for more Scouts to experience the best of what our region’s Scouting has to offer. I have attached this summer’s program guide to this message.

Although schools are letting out now and families are finalizing their summer plans, there is still plenty of room and time. Even if it is just for a week or two, the camp would greatly benefit from your unit’s participation. It is an especially productive use of Scouts’ time for gap weeks between vacations, camps, jobs, athletic training, etc. For any interest in these opportunities, I ask that you contact Lou Seiser, Camp Director, at lseiser@campworkcoeman.orgor at (860) 806-0751. You may also visit the Staff/CIT Opportunities webpage at campworkcoeman.org/get-involved/staff for more information and interest forms.

I would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.

Proudly yours in Scouting,
Brian Lindsay
