Updates for this weekend’s camp-out at JN Webster

Good morning,

A few reminders for scouts coming on the camp out this weekend:

Winterfest is in Central Park this evening in front of the Vernon town hall, please plan to go around downtown Rockville using Prospect street to get to the Elks. Be there by 5:45 so we can leave at 6:00.

A reminder for the scouting challenges starting at 9:00 AM Saturday, scouts should prepare a small day pack with items they would bring for a day hike. The scouting challenges will include:

Fire building

First Aid

Orienteering

Knots and lashing

We should be leaving camp in Ashford around 10:00 AM Sunday, please be prepared to pickup at the Elks around 11:00 AM (not 1:00 PM as it shows on the Google calendar). We’ll update this post if the time changes.

Reminder – December Camp out is this weekend

The December camp out (really a camp in) will be cabin camping at JN Webster.  If you and / or your son will be attending and you have not yet submitted a permission slip, please fill out the permission slip here.

We are working on having a very active campout with a variety of activities.

Reminder: Pack 223 Webelos Meeting Monday 11/27 – 6:30 PM St. Johns Church in Vernon

Reminder for all the scouts who volunteered to attend the Cub Scout Pack 223 meeting tomorrow night, Monday 11/27, at St. John’s Church on Rt. 30 in Vernon. The meeting is from 6:30 – 7:30 PM. Please be prepared to teach the Webelos scouts about the Patrol method and tell them all about Troop 20/20. Call Dan Nevelos with questions 860-336-7411

Reminder – 11/26 Fall Clean-up at the Elks

Reminder bring any and all leaf moving equipment you have (Rakes, gloves, blowers) and join us at 9AM THIS SUNDAY 11/26.  We will be helping with the Fall Clean-up at the Elks Lodge.

We typically wrap up around noon, have some pizza and call it a day.

Dues are Due – Reminder

Good Morning – Dues are due at the Court of Honor ($50).

There will be information available if there are enough funds in your respective Scout Account to cover them.  The dues can be paid via Account (if the funds are there), Check and Cash.

Court of Honor – October 26th 7PM

All Scouts and Families are invited. We will be presenting all scouting awards earned at summer camp and up to this point in the year. Followed by an Ice Cream Social.
