Postponed: Schindler/Schmidt Property
Due to the inclement weather forecast for this weekend, the Schindler/Schmidt property trip is being postponed to Saturday April 2nd – Sunday April 3rd. If your Scout is already signed up but will not be able to attend on the new date please email t2020ct@gmail.com to let us know. Also, if your Scout is now able to sign up please fill out the permission slip by Thursday March 24th.

Please have your scout prepare to present their pack for a patrol inspection tomorrow night at the Troop meeting. Please refer to our camp out supply list for cold weather camping as a reference.

The attending leaders are taking extra steps to ensure we have plenty of dry shelter setup for cooking and staying out of the weather, and we’d like to make sure the scouts are just as prepared so we can all have a great weekend outdoors, no matter the weather!

THANK YOU, to our very supportive community! We have settled into a regular schedule now, and have many Regular Customers!
There are currently 3 Options to deposit your collection of Returnables:
- Option 1 (Preferred) – Drop-off; your returnables at the Rockville Elks Lodge 1359, Carriage House Basement Garage (all the way down around the back) Collection & Sorting Operations on Saturday between 9:00 AM and noon.
- Option 2 (by request) – Pick-up; Send an email to t2020ct@gmail.com with your local residential address; put your collection of returnables outside by 9:00 AM, and they will be picked up Saturday before Noon.
- Option 3 (scheduled) – Bulk, Towns other than Vernon / Ellington, other special circumstances; Send an email to t2020ct@gmail.com with your address & any other contact information in order to have a pick-up scheduled outside of our set day.

The permission slip is available for the Schindler/Schmidt Property trip (Saturday 3/12 – Sunday 3/13). Permission slips and payment are due at the troop meeting on Thursday 3/3.
Date: Saturday 03/12/2022 – Sunday 03/13/2022
Drop Off: Saturday morning at Schindler/Schmidt Property (Depart from Elks at 8:00 AM so we can all drive there together)
Pick Up: Sunday morning at Schindler/Schmidt Property (Will be back at Elks between 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM)

Troop/Patrol Cooking: Patrol Cooking (individually plated)
Tent/Cabin/Lean-to: Tent (With parental consent, Scouts from different households may share tents on camping trips, if they are fully vaccinated. We would also suggest alternating heads and feet with no more than two in a tent. Fully vaccinated means that an individual has received all vaccinations and boosters that they are eligible to receive.)
Duffel Bag/Backpack: Backpack
Cost: $25 (CASH ONLY)
