Court Of Honor – Thursday 1/27 @ 7:00 PM

There will be a Court of Honor on Thursday 1/27 @ 7:00 PM. Scout parents and families are welcome and encouraged to attend. Masks, social distancing, pre-checklist questionnaire, and no food please. Scouts must wear full Class A uniform.

Ski Trip Update

As announced at Thursday night’s Troop meeting, the Otis Ridge ski trip was canceled due to low interest/sign up. However, some Scouts would still like to personally organize a day ski trip with their families on Saturday 1/22. Scouts are encouraged to discuss the options located here with the other interested Scouts and with their families. Note: This will not be a Troop activity.

Scout Dropoff Update

Elks Lodge does not want vehicles stopping in the driveway to drop off Scouts at the carriage house entry door. Vehicles should park in the parking lot and let Scouts out there.

Calling All Recently Graduated Troop 20/20 Eagle Scouts

Short notice but the Committee was hoping we could get a picture of all our recently graduated Troop 20/20 Eagle Scouts together in full Class A uniforms during tomorrow night’s Troop meeting if they are still home from college.

Committee Meeting – Tuesday 1/11 @ 7:30 PM

There is a committee meeting at Bill Magnotta’s house (53 Marjorie Lane in Vernon) on Tuesday, January 11th at 7:30 PM. Masks, social distancing, pre-checklist questionnaire, and no food sharing please.

Otis Ridge Permission Slip (1/21-1/23)

The permission slip is available for the Otis Ridge ski trip (Friday 1/21 – Sunday 1/23). Permission slips and payment are due at the troop meeting on Thursday 1/13.

Date: Friday 01/21/2022 – Sunday 01/23/2022

Drop Off: Friday evening at Otis Ridge (Depart from Elks at 5:30 PM so we can all drive there together)

Pick Up: Sunday morning at Otis Ridge (Depart at 10:00 AM to be back at Elks between 11:30 AM to Noon)

If carpooling is the only option for your scout to be able to participate then please make sure to give your permission below for your scout to ride with others that do not reside in the same household to and from the campout. This option is dependent on there being a driver willing to transport scouts that don’t live in their household. You may be asked by the driver to provide vaccination status.

Council’s Carpooling guidelines – We still do not recommend carpooling when avoidable. If you do carpool, we ask the unit employ permission slips and uses masks in the vehicles (unless all within the same family unit masks would not be required.)

Troop/Patrol Cooking: Troop Cooking (individually plated)

Tent/Cabin/Lean-to: Cabin (All participants must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or present a witnessed negative test (home tests are not allowed) taken no more than 72 hours prior to departure. Please remember that fully vaccinated means that all shots have been received and that more than two weeks has elapsed since the last one. Verification by the CDC vaccination card is required.)
