Summer Camp Deposits Due Thursday (2/27)

Cooking Merit Badge Class – Sunday 2/9 @ 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Mr. Nevelos will be starting an Eagle required cooking merit badge class at his house (54 Hillcrest Drive in Vernon) on Sunday 2/9 @ 3:00 PM for interested scouts. We will be going over health and safety, cooking basics, and nutrition. For homework after this class, scouts will be expected to plan and cook multiple nutritious meals at home. Future meetings will be focused on camp cooking, trail and backpacking meals, and food-related careers. Please let Mr. Nevelos know if you’re planning to attend so he can have enough workbooks printed. Email dnevelos@hotmail.com or speak to him at the 2/6 Troop meeting.

Reminder: There will be a Court of Honor on Thursday 1/30 @ 6:00 PM. It will be a potluck. Please bring a main dish and a side or a dessert. Scouts must wear full Class A uniform.

Update: Volunteers Needed! – Mandatory Participation Fundraiser – Gampel Pavilion Concessions

Volunteers still needed: Each scout, or the scout’s parent/guardian, will need to sign up for a minimum of one of the four games.

Note: Scouts must be 16+ years old to sign up. If the scout is not 16+ years old, then the parent/guardian must sign up instead. It is not necessary for both the 16+ year old scout and their parent/guardian to sign up so there are enough slots for all families to participate. Please click the Edit My Sign Up link in the Sign Up Confirmation email you received if you need to change the number of slots that you signed up for.

Sunday, February 9 @ 9:30 AM – 3:00 PM (Noon game time)

Note: Group leaders need to be there a half an hour earlier than the rest of the volunteers. We are still in need of a group leader for the Sunday, February 9 game.

– Enter the SOUTH entrance of Gampel Pavilion and check-in with security
– Please wear khaki or black pants and a Troop 2020 class B shirt if possible
