Reminder: East of the River Camporee Permission Slips & Payment Due This Thursday (9/19)

Reminder: The permission slip is available for the East of the River Camporee (Friday 9/27 – Sunday 9/29). Permission slips and payment are due at the 9/19 troop meeting.

ETA for Martha’s Vineyard return to the Elks is 5:30 PM.

Martha’s Vineyard Return Update

We’re on the 1:35 ferry with the boys but trucks with the bags don’t come back until 2:30 ferry. We will update ETA once we are at Woods Hole. Please plan on sticking around at Elks until all gear is unloaded and put away.

Reminder For Tomorrow Night’s Troop Meeting

Reminder for the scouts and adults going on the Martha’s Vineyard trip – Packed duffel bags and bikes need to be brought to tomorrow night’s troop meeting so they can be loaded on the trucks. Also, don’t forget your helmet because no helmet = no bike ride!

Yankee Candle Fundraiser

Gabi LaBrecque will be bringing Yankee Candle fundraiser packets to the Boy Scout meeting this Thursday. Money earned from this fundraiser goes to the individual scout’s account. If anyone is interested and cannot come to the meeting, they can arrange to pick up the packet at Gabi’s house. Text Gabi with questions at (860) 502-8108.

Reminder: Help Needed Saturday 9/7 – Loading & Transporting Cans & Bottles

Thanks to all who helped sort cans and bottles at last night’s troop meeting! For this Saturday (9/7) at 9:00 AM we need help loading and transporting the cans and bottles to the redemption center.

Reminder: Martha’s Vineyard (9/13-9/15) Permission Slips & Payment Due This Thursday (9/5)

Reminder: The permission slip is available for the Martha’s Vineyard bicycle trip (Friday 9/13 – Sunday 9/15). Permission slips and payment are due at this week’s (9/5) troop meeting. The $65 includes round-trip ferry, bike transport, food, camp reservation, and transportation.

Welcome to the 2019-2020 Scouting Year

Below are some important announcements for the start of the 2019-2020 scouting year.

• First Troop Meeting: Thursday, September 5th @ 7:00 PM (please bring cans & bottles collected over the summer)
• Annual Dues: $75 and are due in September
• Help Needed Sorting Cans & Bottles: Saturday, September 7th @ 9:00 AM – Noon
• Martha’s Vineyard Bicycle Trip: Friday, September 13th – Sunday, September 15th (permission slip)
• Committee Meeting: Tuesday, September 24th @ 7:30 PM (Bill Magnotta’s house – 53 Marjorie Lane in Vernon)
• East of the River Camporee: Friday, September 27th – Sunday, September 29th (permission slip)
• Court of Honor: Thursday, October 3rd @ 7:00 PM (ice cream will be provided)
