Summer Camp Medical Forms
Hi, the summer camp health forms (they didn’t change) can be accessed here. Along with the filled out forms, I also need a copy of the boy’s medical insurance card, front and back sides. The physical must less than 1 year old.
We Need Help
Good Afternoon,
As mentioned during the last meeting, we are in need of a Temporary Phone Book Leader to help with this year’s Troop Phone books. I will be out of town for the first week of phone books and it is CRITICAL that we start phone books when they are ready. I will not be in the country from the 8th until the 15th of April. Phone books are scheduled to start the week of April 9th.
What is needed:
- Someone to help set up the warehouse (we are currently looking for one). Setting up entails getting the tables there, working to get the pallet jack there (we have one at the Elks.
- Meeting with the Phone book company to get the phone book lists (they are expecting to be in South Windsor)
- Meeting the truck (the same place as where you pick up the lists) so it can be loaded
- Mapping out “route bundles”
- Running the bagging process
- Arraigning times for the books and routes to be picked up
- I will be back after the 15th and can take over the process from there
This THE fundraiser for the year and is essential. We are expecting far fewer books this year compared to last.

Read moreCanceled: Thursday March 8th Troop Meeting – Patrol Leaders plan menus for 3/17 Campout
Good morning Troop 20/20,
Due to Vernon Public Schools closing we will NOT have a troop meeting tonight, Thursday 3/8. As discussed at the Senior Patrol Leaders’ meeting on Tuesday, Patrol Leaders should plan their menu for the 3/17 Tolland Patrol Cooking camp out. Patrol Leaders are: AJ, Zach, and Gavin. They will be responsible for coming up with a menu for Saturday lunch and Sunday breakfast to be cooked on backpacking stoves only by their patrols. The troop will be providing ingredients for Saturday dinner to be cooked on camp fires. If possible, food can be brought to the 3/15 Troop meeting. Perishable food can be stored in the troop’s refrigerator, non-perishable food can be distributed and packed during the backpack shakedown.
Patrol Leaders, please reach out to your patrols to see who is coming on the camp out and to arrange shopping if you can. I will also be posting patrol rosters on the private Facebook group for those who have access. Parent help would be appreciated if necessary. If patrol leaders need assistance with contacting your patrol please contact me at 860-336-7411.

Thursday March 15th Troop Meeting – Backpack packing review “shakedown”
Good afternoon Troop 20/20,
We will be having a backpack packing review “shakedown” at next week’s troop meeting, Thursday 3/15. We would like ALL scouts whether or not they are camping in Tolland Saturday March 17th through Sunday March 18th to bring a fully packed backpack for cold weather camping. The list of supplies that should be in each scouts pack are located on our website’s FAQ page here.
Scouts who are camping on the weekend should be prepared to leave their packs at the Elks Thursday night and only bring necessary small toiletry and personal items on Saturday morning.
Thank you,
Dan Nevelos
