If you have have a completed route I am at the elks and would be happy to take them.  

I can collect them on the 22nd as well or feel free to drop them off at my house  18 Kibbe Rd in Ellington.

If you need additional books,  there are a few hundred left outside of the warehouse.

Thank you to everyone for their efforts and picking up books throughout the week.  We were able to return the warehouse key earlier today.

Troop Dues Update & Thank You

Thanks Troop 20/20 Members, as we have achieved 94% Dues (and Boy’s Life) Payments in support of our Charter which is due now!

50 % of our dues were paid on time, thanks again to the folks focused on that, and we look forward to any and all ideas to help with reminders for next year.

It is very important for our Unit to be Chartered and have our Charter Complete. So  at this time, any more Dues / Registrations for this year will need to be processed on an individual basis.

We are also thankful for the folks organizing, participating,  and contributing to our Dues Fundraiser, which helps to augment the difference between what we set for our Dues fee which is about half the actual cost of Registration.

Last Call for Phone Books

As a reminder, we need to be out of the warehouse tomorrow night.  There are books out side of the warehouse and a few inside.

Books are outside and All Routes are out

Good Evening,

Thank you to everyone that has taken a route (or multiple).  We had a tremendous day with 90% of the books being picked up and many routes completed and returned.

There are books under tarps outside of the warehouse and one more inside.  If you go to the warehouse in search of books and find none please contact me 860.268.0545.

The owner of the warehouse needs the building 100% empty by the 15th (Thursday) to meet his commitments.

• We have taken almost everything back to the Elks and have swept the warehouse clean.
• If you need more books to complete your routes please pick them up by Wednesday (they do not need to be completed by then).
• I can collect any completed routes at Thursday’s scout meeting.  They do not need to be done by then, but if they are I can collect the cords, GPS and charging bricks you may have.

Senior Leadership Meeting 12/13

Reminder there is a Troop senior leadership meeting on Tuesday 12/13 at Bill Magnotta’s house at 7:00 PM  

A few routes still open – the Warehouse opens at 7am on Saturday.

It was good to see the boys back at a Scout meeting that did not involve bagging books.  We are in the home stretch of this year’s fundraiser.

• The warehouse will open on Saturday at 7am for loading and we plan on bringing in lunch around 11.
• There are a few routes left if anyone can pick them up please let me know.
• If you absolutely cannot drive but have a son that is available let me know and we will look to set him up with some one for a few hours on Saturday morning.

If you have completed routes please let me know and either bring them to the warehouse Saturday morning or they can be left at my house.

Bagging is Complete – Now it is time to Deliver

Good Morning,

Thanks to those who bagged last night (especially the Webelos) we will have a regular Scout meeting at the Elks on Thursday.

On Saturday we are looking to have a Troop delivery day.  We need DRIVERS.  With a significant push we could be done this weekend.  All routes are either Vernon or Ellington.

This is critical and mandatory for the Troop’s financial stability.  If you have ever wondered what if would be like (or enjoyed) to hold a route sheet in your hand and deliver phone books….. now is the time.

Reminder – Pizza and Finishing the bagging

Reminder – the warehouse will open at 6.  We will have pizza and less than 4 pallets to bag.  When we finish tonight, we can have a regular Scout meeting on Thursday.
