Deliveries have started – Come get some routes

Good Morning,

Routes and books are being distributed and the process continues. The afternoon weather looks to be improving.

We have a few thousand books that are not accounted for yet and need EVERYONE in the Troop to be a part of our fundraising activity.

Participation from EVERYONE is critical to the troop and this activity.

Lunch at 11:45.  We look forward to seeing you.

See you Saturday for deliveries

This Saturday and Sunday at mandatory TROOP DELIVERY DAYS.  We will be meeting at the WAREHOUSE at 7:30 in the morning.  There will be coffee, doughnuts and orange juice.

• We need vehicles, drivers and adult passengers to assist – A troop activity should help reduce the time it takes and make it more enjoyable.
• If an adult cannot attend please get your child there they will be assigned to a delivery team
• Routes will be distributed and Delivery Teams will “take to the streets” coming back to the warehouse where lunch will be provided at approximately 11:45
• The Delivery Teams will then head back out targeting a 4PM wrap-up
• If we are not completed on Saturday we will need to repeat on Sunday

The warehouse will be open tonight for bagging from 6 to 830. 

Thursday’s Troop meeting will be at the warehouse.

We need everyone to attend with as many additional helpers as we can get.

Warehouse address: 101 Industrial Drive – Vernon Ct,  In the rear of the second building.  My Ford Explorer pickup with the license plate LIPMAN will be there.

Troop delivery day(s) start this Saturday, 730am from the warehouse.

Summer high adventure trip

After spending the past few weeks gathering interested students and working out logistical details, I have made the decision to scale back this summer’s high adventure trip. Instead, we will focus on a shorter, local trip involving overnight backpacking. More details will be forthcoming.

Book Deliveries and pickup

Good Morning,

As discussed, a handful of routes for towns outside of Vernon/ Rockville and Manchester have been distributed.  If you need to pick up books and the GPS tracker there are some stored outside of the warehouse.  Please contact me with any questions or concerns at 860-268-0545.

Bagging Update #2 and Thursday’s Troop meeting at the warehouse

Good Morning,

We made significant progress yesterday and still have a pallets to go.  The Thursday Troop meeting for March 31st will be at the WAREHOUSE and we need everyone to attend with as many additional helpers as we can get.

Bagging update number 1

Good Morning Troop and fellow baggers. We made progress last night and but do not fret, we still have more books to bag.

The plan for the day:
10:30 to 2. Bagging and pizza will be provided for lunch.

5pm to ?  Doors open again for more bagging fun.
