THANK YOU, to our very supportive community! We have settled into a regular schedule now, and have many Regular Customers!

There are currently 3 Options to deposit your collection of Returnables:

• Option 1 (Preferred) – Drop-off; your returnables at the Rockville Elks Lodge 1359, Carriage House Basement Garage (all the way down around the back) Collection & Sorting Operations on Saturday between 9:00 AM and noon.
• Option 2 (by request) – Pick-up; Send an email to t2020ct@gmail.com with your local residential address; put your collection of returnables outside by 9:00 AM, and they will be picked up Saturday before Noon.
• Option 3 (scheduled) – Bulk, Towns other than Vernon / Ellington, other special circumstances; Send an email to t2020ct@gmail.com with your address & any other contact information in order to have a pick-up scheduled outside of our set day.

Troop 2020 COVID-19 Situation Notification

Today we learned that one of our Scouts in Troop 2020 was exposed to someone with COVID-19. This Scout attended our December 16th Troop meeting before learning of the potential exposure prior to the meeting. As part of the protocol we are notifying you about the situation and will follow up if the the individual develops symptoms or tests positive.

Updated Time: Wreaths Across America Ceremony

For those who volunteered to help with the Wreaths Across America ceremony on Saturday December 18th we now need to be at Grove Hill Cemetery at 11:15 AM instead of 11:45 AM. Also, the ceremony will still be held even if there is inclement weather so please be prepared.

We need eight Scouts to volunteer to help with the Wreaths Across America ceremony on Saturday December 18th from 11:45 AM to 12:45 PM at Grove Hill Cemetery. Please click here for the online signup sheet.

Scout Holiday Party – Thursday 12/16

There will be a holiday party for the scouts on Thursday 12/16. There will not be food this year. Please have your scout bring a $15 wrapped gift.

Troop 2020 COVID-19 Notification Protocol

In the event that someone from our Troop tests positive for COVID-19 or is potentially exposed to the virus please notify Scoutmaster Bill Magnotta (magnottabill@gmail.com or 860-748-2193).

The committee decided tonight to change the JN Webster campout from Friday-Sunday to Saturday-Sunday. We will be leaving the Elks at 8:00 AM on Saturday morning. We have also decided that in addition to the tent camping and outdoor eating option we will offer the option to follow the CT Rivers Council cabin camping and indoor eating option. Those choosing the new option will need to follow the below guidelines and present the CDC vaccination card to Mr. Bradshaw at Thursday’s Troop meeting or present the witnessed negative test to Mr. Bradshaw prior to 8:00 AM on Saturday morning.

Cabin camping will be allowed provided all Scouts and adults present are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or present a witnessed negative test (home tests are not allowed) taken no more than 72 hours prior to departure. Please remember that fully vaccinated means that all shots have been received and that more than two weeks has elapsed since the last one. Verification by the CDC vaccination card is required.

Committee Meeting – Tuesday 11/30 @ 7:30 PM

There is a committee meeting at Bill Magnotta’s house (53 Marjorie Lane in Vernon) on Tuesday, November 30th at 7:30 PM. Masks, social distancing, pre-checklist questionnaire, and no food sharing please.
