Bottles & Cans Catch-up and Dig-out Event

Hello Troop 20/20. We still have a wall of returns that need to be sorted and returned.  We could use all the help we can get this Saturday, May 15th from 9:00 to 12:00.  Please come out and lend a hand if you can.

Sign-up sheets are available for this weekend and June’s events.  It would be great if you could use those to give us an idea of how many people to expect.

Bottles & Cans Sign-Up Sheet

Hello Troop 20/20. We would like to get a better idea of who will be able to attend the next two Bottles & Cans drives. There is quite a pile to sort and we could use all the hands possible. If you plan to help in May or June then please put your name down on our Sign-Up Genius sheet.

If you were planning to help out with the Eagle project this weekend, please do not alter those plans. They need lots of support as well.

May 8th (Sat. 9:00am – 12:00pm)
June 12th (Sat. 9:00am – 12:00pm)

Fundraising is critical for the health of our Troop. We are generally getting the older Scouts. As Scout tradition goes, we need the next generation of Scouts to start taking the lead as our older Scouts age out. We don’t want to miss the window for our older Scouts to teach the next group how to help at the drive and the value of supporting their Troop.

THANK YOU, to our very supportive community! We have settled into a regular schedule now, and have many Regular Customers!

There are currently 3 Options to deposit your collection of Returnables:

• Option 1 (Preferred) – Drop-off; your returnables at the Rockville Elks Lodge 1359, Carriage House Basement Garage (all the way down around the back) Collection & Sorting Operations on Saturday between 9:00 AM and noon.
• Option 2 (by request) – Pick-up; Send an email to t2020ct@gmail.com with your local residential address; put your collection of returnables outside by 9:00 AM, and they will be picked up Saturday before Noon.
• Option 3 (scheduled) – Bulk, Towns other than Vernon / Ellington, other special circumstances; Send an email to t2020ct@gmail.com with your address & any other contact information in order to have a pick-up scheduled outside of our set day.

Last Call for the Early Bird Summer Camp rate of $450!

After Saturday, the rate increases to $475. Please send payment to Mike Pezzetti, 28 Dailey Circle, Vernon, CT 06066. Checks should be made out to Troop 2020. Contact Karen Yencho by tomorrow afternoon at 4pm to let her know that payment has been sent. Contact Karen if you have any questions about how much you owe if you paid a deposit last year or want to know if you have money in your scout account.

Adventure Park (5/15-5/16) Permission Slip Due This Friday (4/30)

The permission slip is available for The Adventure Park at Storrs (Saturday 5/15 – Sunday 5/16). Permission slips are due 4/30.

Campout at the Adventure Park at Storrs

Parent Drop-off will be at 2:00
2007 Storrs Rd, Storrs, CT 06268

2-4:00 we will be setting up camp.
4:00-7:00 Rope course and ziplines.
7:00PM-? Dinner and campfire

Scout pick up will be 10:30 the next morning.

Scouts should bring something to eat for dinner and breakfast.

Cost is $35.00 for the overnight to cover equipment and training for the rope courses and ziplines.

We NEED a final headcount by this weekend so the deadline to respond is this Friday 4/30. We cannot guarantee a spot if you have not signed up by this date.
