Important Information For Tomorrow Night’s Troop Meeting

ANNOUNCEMENTS

There will be a troop meeting held indoors at the Elks tomorrow night (10/29) from 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM.

All participants must complete and submit the COVID-19 Screening Questionnaire and have the responses reviewed and approved prior to entering the activity.

Scouts should bring hand sanitizer, a notebook, and a pen/pencil. Scouts may bring their own chair or use one at the Elks. Scouts should wear uniforms whether attending in person or virtually.

A survey will be coming out asking families to let us know if their scout(s) will be attending in person or virtually. Please fill out this survey as soon as possible so that the adult and youth leaders can use this information for scouting program planning. 

There will also be a virtual Zoom option (link below) . We are planning for it to be synchronous.

For those attending in person, please read and review with your scout the in-person meeting protocols we are putting in place for the safety of our scouts and scout leaders.

Important Information For Tomorrow Night’s Troop Meeting & Next Court Of Honor

Reminder: There will be a troop meeting held outdoors at the Elks tomorrow night (10/22) from 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM. Note: Meeting will begin a half hour early at 6:30 PM and meeting time will be shortened to one hour.

Scouts should bring a chair, bug spray, hand sanitizer, a notebook, and a pen/pencil. Scouts should wear uniforms whether attending in person or virtually.

The leaders are looking into whether or not we’ll be able to go back inside and back to our regular meeting time. They will be checking out how we’ll need to configure the Carriage House to meet social distancing guidelines and discussing the options at next week’s committee meeting. 

The Court of Honor originally scheduled for next Thursday (10/29) is being postponed. The committee is looking at options for having an outdoor, daytime Court of Honor on a weekend. 

There will also be a virtual Zoom option (link below) . We are planning for it to be synchronous.

Service Opportunity From Zach – Saturday 10/17 & Sunday 10/18 @ 10:00 AM

This weekend, 10/17-10/18, they are having a Fall Festival on Saturday and a memorial for one of their members on Sunday. They said they could use some boys’ help with setting up these events. Important Information For Salmon River & Tomorrow Night’s Troop Meeting

Scouts should bring a chair, bug spray, hand sanitizer, a notebook, and a pen/pencil. Scouts should wear uniforms whether attending in person or virtually.

Scouts who are not able to camp overnight Saturday at Salmon River are welcome to come for the day to get service hours. Please fill out the permission slip and let a leader know if you are just coming for the day. Also, we will be leaving from the Elks at 10:00 AM to let the rain finish up.

Tomorrow night’s meeting agenda will include reviewing the camping menus that ALL scouts were assigned to create for the camping trip to Salmon River on 10/17-10/18, whether they were going or not. We are asking for all scouts who are planning to attend the campout to attend the 10/15 troop meeting in person.

Tonight’s agenda will include how to set up a tent on your own to prepare for tent camping at Salmon River on 10/17-10/18. If you need to borrow a tent from the Troop, please let the leaders know tonight so you have time to practice setting it up on your own before the trip.
