THANK YOU, to our very supportive community! We have settled into a regular schedule now, and have many Regular Customers!
There are currently 3 Options to deposit your collection of Returnables:
- Option 1 (Preferred) – Drop-off; your returnables at the Rockville Elks Lodge 1359, Carriage House Basement Garage (all the way down around the back) Collection & Sorting Operations on Saturday between 9:00 AM and noon.
- Option 2 (by request) – Pick-up; Send an email to t2020ct@gmail.com with your local residential address; put your collection of returnables outside by 9:00 AM, and they will be picked up Saturday before Noon.
- Option 3 (scheduled) – Bulk, Towns other than Vernon / Ellington, other special circumstances; Send an email to t2020ct@gmail.com with your address & any other contact information in order to have a pick-up scheduled outside of our set day.
Summer Camp Deposits Due Thursday 2/24
A $50 deposit per Scout camper is due to the Troop by Thursday, February 24th. Our new summer camp coordinator, Emily Westerberg, will be at the upcoming Troop meetings to collect the deposits. The Summer Camp Info page of our Troop’s website has been updated for 2022.

Please have your scout bring his first aid kit to tomorrow night’s troop meeting. Also, don’t forget to always bring the Scouts handbook so requirements can be signed off and updated in Scoutbook.

The permission slip is available for the Black Rock trip (Saturday 2/19 – Monday 2/21). Permission slips and payment are due at the troop meeting on Thursday 2/10.
Date: Saturday 02/19/2022 – Monday 02/21/2022
Drop Off: Saturday morning at Black Rock (Depart from Elks at 7:45 AM so we can all drive there together)
Pick Up: Monday morning at Black Rock (Will be back at Elks around 2:00 PM)
If carpooling is the only option for your scout to be able to participate then please make sure to give your permission below for your scout to ride with others that do not reside in the same household to and from the campout. This option is dependent on there being a driver willing to transport scouts that don’t live in their household. You may be asked by the driver to provide vaccination status.
Council’s Carpooling guidelines – We still do not recommend carpooling when avoidable. If you do carpool, we ask the unit employ permission slips and uses masks in the vehicles (unless all within the same family unit masks would not be required.)

Troop/Patrol Cooking: Troop Cooking (individually plated)
Tent/Cabin/Lean-to: Cabin (All participants must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or present a witnessed negative test (home tests are not allowed) taken no more than 72 hours prior to departure. Please remember that fully vaccinated means that all shots have been received and that more than two weeks has elapsed since the last one. Verification by the CDC vaccination card is required.)
Duffel Bag/Backpack: Backpack
Cost: $25 (CASH ONLY) – Plus spending money for the West Point souvenir shop and lunch at McDonald’s on the way home (parking lot tailgate dining)
