**Urgent Update ** Bagging tonight

Good Afternoon,

The phone books have come in and we will be bagging tonight.  At the Ellington warehouse (the same one we used a few weeks ago) 105 Windermere Ave.

I will open the warehouse at 6:30, please arrive when you can.

Phone Books Round 2 (The Final One for 2016)

Good Evening,

The books will be delivered to the Ellington warehouse this Friday.  We are hoping Scouts, Friends and Family members not camping can help with some bagging Friday night.

We are planning for a bagging night on Tuesday December 6th and if necessary Thursday December 8th.  This week’s meeting is at the Elks and we will discuss further.

Additional notes:

• If we have the same turnout and execution we did last time, we can get it done on Tuesday.
• The routes are Vernon / Rockville and Ellington only (limited Ellington Routes).
• Possible Troop delivery day on Saturday the 10th.  It may be possible to get everything delivered in one day.

11/30 Sequassen Permission slip Due

​Permission slip for Sequassen is available on our calendar.  Forms are due to be competed by WEDNESDAY 11/30.  Due to the Troop cooking,  we need an accurate headcount by WEDNESDAY so our Troop leaders can purchase food.

Although the due date is 11/30, I will be collecting permission slips this Thursday on 12/1 due to the Thanksgiving Holiday next week.

Phone Book Update

Good Evening Scout Families,

A great night of bagging helped to set the stage for what is shaping up to be a successful first round of deliveries.  We are expecting news on the second round of routes and books (Ellington and Vernon) early next week.

With an estimated cost to the Troop of approximately $350 per scout, phone books are critical fundraiser and we look forward to great participation with the second round wrapping up Phone Book delivery 2016.

Due to the pending weather I have put all of the phone books in the warehouse.  I will put some back outside before the leaf raking.

It is Time to Deliver

Good Evening,

The warehouse at 105 Windermere Ave will be open from 7am to 9am on Saturday.  If you have not picked up route or need books outside of that time, please call me at 860.268.0545.

We were able to bag almost 10,000 books tonight (everything we had for the first batch) in an evening that was fun and saw friends and friends of friends participating. 

We are waiting to hear when we will be able t get the other books.

Phone Books Begin Friday Night

It is time Troop Phone Book Deliveries.  This activity is CRITICAL to supporting the troop and helping supplement things ranging from dues to camping.

As recently discussed, Phone Book Deliveries for Frontier:

• This is an “every house gets a book” delivery which will be easier, faster and less complex.
• A new warehouse with a much nicer, cleaner parking located near the Elks in Ellington
• We plan to begin loading vehicles on Friday night and deliveries Saturday morning

Please Note:

• Bring ANYONE who can help with the bagging FRIDAY night to the WAREHOUSE located at 105 Windermere Ave, Ellington  
• Someone will be at the Warehouse on FRIDAY by 5PM.  PIZZA AT 6…..
• Come when you can – FYI – bagging books and having dinner is always a good time
• We plan to begin loading vehicles on Friday night and deliveries Saturday morning

Leaf Raking at the Elks 11/20

Our fall leaf cleanup is this Sunday at the Elks in Vernon from 9AM to noon.

Please bring rakes,  gloves,  leaf blowers,  and any helpful clean up equipment and come prepared to work!
